Seasons Greetings!

We hope that this email finds you all in good spirits and great health!  There are many changes happening around Live Oak Hosting over the next few weeks and we wanted to update you to some great improvements we're rolling out.  

We wish you and yours a blessed holiday season and hope that your new year starts off with a bang!

New Billing System

Our billing system has done its job for many years, but we are all aware of some frustrations and challenges with the current system. After several years of searching, we believe that a replacement has been found and we have invested many months of research and preparation for the conversion to our new system.

Beginning January 1, 2010, all new invoices and orders will be processed through our new system. If you have an invoice that would renew on or before 12/31/09, these invoices will be created a few days in advance to give us a bit more time to process the conversion. We expect the transition will be smooth and seamless, however we know transitions are rarely perfect so we will be ready to do all we can to correct issues as they are identified.

In the meantime, we will still be setting up new clients, handling any account issues, processing payments, and handling all of your requests. We hope that the new system solves many of your frustrations and makes all of our lives a bit easier. Another email will follow the transition, letting you know of the updates, new services/features, etc.

New Support System

We took a deep look at some of the challenges with our existing support software and processes. Our current system has been in place for five years and has served us well, but it can be better.

Our new system focuses on three core areas:

  1. Pro-active, not Re-active
  2. Reporting & Account Management
  3. Security & Process Improvement

We recognize that the introduction of this new system and processes may add a bit more complexity to our support processes, however the information we will gain in the process and added security and convenience for assisting your accounts will help us be our absolute best for you in the future.  We will update you again when the new system is online and ready for use.  Expect to hear more about this in early January.

Holiday Office Hours

A friendly reminder that we will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, and New Years Day. Our smiling staff will be back in full swing on Monday, January 4th. In the meantime, if you have a hosting emergency, just call our offices and dial extension 2911 and our answering service will take your information and contact our on-call staff.
