Survey Results Are In!

Our annual customer survey results are in!  We had a great response this year and the feedback was incredible.  First of all, we'd like to recognize Dan with inhouseassist.com for submitting the winning comment.  He said,

The End of Spam

Spam: No longer just another mystery meat, but still a mystery to be sure.

If you are not receiving spam in your mailbox, then congratulations!  All that clean living is paying off!  If you are getting spam, your best bet is to take our phenominal Ironport anti-spam servers for a free 30-day test drive and see what email is supposed to be like.  If you still aren't sure, here are a few tips to keep your inbox spam free:

1. Don't use your personal email account to sign up for public sites that might sell your email address or send you spam.
2. Get a free email account at hotmail.com, gmail.com, or yahoo.com or other online sites in order to sign up for the above items.  If you start receiving too much spam, you can just "throw it away" and get a new one.
3. Don't use your business email address to send and receive personal messages.  Well-meaning friends and family may send you e-cards where they enter your email address that puts you on a mailing list or sells that address.
4. Don't post personal email addresses on your website.  This gives spammers a valid email address to start emailing.  Setting up a contact form can help prevent this.

In case you haven't noticed, Live Oak Hosting uses the Plesk control panel from Parallels.  For those of  you who are new to the Plesk environment, Parallels offers a great selection of online video tutorials to walk you through many of the common control panel tasks.  Interested in learning how to:
